Sunnyside TX Community
We’re working with the Sunnyside, TX community to build a supportive environment by encouraging budding entrepreneurs, forming a strong coalition, and developing local organizations that will help strengthen the area for future economic growth.
SSTX Chamber of Commerce
The NMPP Community Nexus Initiative aims to transform collaboration into action by creating opportunities for business growth, community investment, workforce development, and cross-sector partnerships. As a part of this mission, NMPP-CNI helped to establish the Sunnyside TX Chamber of Commerce in Sunnyside District 18 area. We are currently working with the Chamber to develop a supportive community environment by nurturing budding entrepreneurs, establishing small businesses, and strengthening local enterprises for future economic development.
Sunnyside Backyard Garden Project
NMPP Community Nexus Initiative partnered with the community church organization to develop an outreach program in Sunnyside to support the community schools and multiservice center. The Sunnyside Backyard Garden project is under the direction of the Kingdom of God Life Ministry Church. Reference Link: www.koglmc.org/co
SSTX Community COHORT
NMPP-CNI initiated forming a community coalition consisting of a small, committed group of entrepreneurs, community leaders from the various civic groups, and corporate partners interested in creating measurable community impact together in the Sunnyside community. Presently, we are working with the Super Neighborhood civic groups, and TIRZ to promote this vision.
